As explained in the introduction, you will need to write and run Python code to learn anything from this book. On Dodona that is already taken care of: you write your code in the browser, run it there, and hand it in, without installing anything. This chapter explains how to get “up and running” with Python on your own computer as well. That is worth doing if you want to experiment outside the course, but you do not need it for anything here.
